On December 04, 2019;  YOP in partnership with Mission 21 distributed 4000 seedlings of various spices (celery, parsley, leeks etc), gardening forks, 2liter sprayers, fungicide, manure and fertilizer to women affected by the ongoing crisis in the North West Region. The women last week participated in a 2-day urban farming workshop where they gained skills in growing spices and vegetables using discarded bags, buckets and tyres. Prior to today’s distribution the women attended a workshop on nutrition. It is expected that the growing of these items in their backyard will save cash and improve on their coping mechanism.
